Control Lever, Nanchang gills with M14-P Engine
You’ve dropped that sparkling new M14-P into the Nanchang engine bay and hooked it all up - now you’re ready to get those Gill Shutters moving.
Your old Huosai Gills assembly won’t fit over the larger Vedeneyev nose case, so a Yak center portion had to be found.
But the Yak Gill shutter control cable leads in from the other side, doesn’t clear the bump under the Huosai sump. Grrrrrrr!
Help is at hand.
Through collaboration with the legendary Jon Boede, ( himself a blender of M14-P and Nanchang ) TYC was able to tweak this Gill control lever until it met his exacting specifications.
The two M6 clearance holes in its flange match up to the control ring, and the end of the blade is tapped M5-.8 for the threaded side shaft of the control cable clevis.
Made of 4140 chromoly, bent to just the right angle and clear zinc plated for superior paint adhesion, with one webstore click you’ll get another item off your conversion “to do” list.
