Wire Loop, Rocker Cover
This wire loop passes under a retaining peg in the rear of the cylinder head's rocker cover gallery, passes through two grooves cast into the Rocker Cover then through a groove in the half-moon pivoting receiver at the front of the cylinder.
Use a 9mm open-ended wrench to over-center the half-moon pivoting guide and secure the Rocker Cover. That said, there's still a certain Zen to ensuring the O ring and the Rocker Cover are seated properly before over-centering the latch. This is not meant to be a test for Atilla the Rocker Cover Avenger. If you are having to apply tremendous leverage ( and perhaps fatal tension in the wire loop), simply screw in the pivoting guide a half a turn. Only moderate force is necessary.
If anybody knows how on earth they actually MAKE these, please drop me a line.....
